Perfect Sunday for the Sixth Annual Walk for Celiac Disease

Michelle and I are joined in this picture by the amazing organizer of this event every year, Jeanine Agnolet.  Not only were their lots of walkers, but all kinds of vendors participating in the Gluten-Free Fair--A BIG THANK YOU to all of you!  And, altho everyone seemed raring to go, we can't have the official beginning of the Walk without a proper warm-up.

Kristen Ludwig, a certified fitness instructor, lead us in a limbering assortment of dance moves to (I forget the name of the song, but it made you want to move, as you can see from the picture).  Thank you, Kristen!  It's always so much fun!

And then, with all the walkers lined up in front of us, we were ready to cut the ribbon to start the Walk for 2017!  Michelle is in the background holding up her end (which I think was one of the dance moves we learned).   And off everyone went!

Thank you to all the wonderful, generous sponsors who support this event and the many people in the Hudson Valley who live with celiac disease.  Proceeds from the Walk benefit the Digestive Disease Center Community Fund and the ongoing research programs of the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University.

I remained limbered up all the way home, and immediately resumed washing all the pollen off the front porch.
