20th Annual Special Olympics Polar Plunge A Big Success!

Saturday morning our Q92 team, the Ice Qbes (great name, right?) gathered to participate in the 20th annual Special Olympics Polar Plunge at Sharpe Reservation-Camp Mariah in Fishkill.

Above is a picture of Chris Marino enjoying a little dip in the 30-something degree water.  And below is the founder of the event which began 20 years ago, Chris Hamel, holding the torch.  Chris told us over $100,000 was raised at this year's Polar Plunge, all of which will go to support the Special Olympics athletes of the Hudson Valley.

It's not too late to make a donation.  Find out more here.  And you can see more pictures of this year's Polar Plunge on their Facebook page here.

Thanks to all of you, both the plungers and non-plungers who took part in this year's "Freezin' for a Reason!"
