I am not immune to the allure of getting away in my very own home-on-wheels. I got to indulge this dream, at least to a degree, last Saturday at the RV Super Show at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, thanks to our friends at Camping World in Kingston. To see the imaginative and detailed engineering of these vehicles is simply amazing--not like the days when Charlotte and I stuffed the tent in the back of our Mercury Lynx wagon and brought our Coleman stove with us camping in the woods of Sullivan County. (And Charlotte was pregnant!). No, now the accommodations inside these vehicles rival our home, plus there is the excitement of waking up with your front door in a new location every day if you wish.
For now I can dream . . .
