Today is National Mutt Day, celebrating the mixed breed dogs....those dogs that give us such joy and become part of our family. How important it is to give them their furever homes.
The goal is to create awareness about the number of them in animal shelters in need of a home. They make up of about 80% of dogs in shelters. Help through adoption, volunteerism and donation. Locally, we support many shelters including, but not limited to the Dutchess County SPCA, My Hopes in You Small Animal Shelter, Hudson Valley Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, Hudson Valley SPCA, Walden Animal Shelter, Mid Hudson Animal Aid and Pets Alive.
