If you think kids' names have gotten stranger . . . you're right. And that trend isn't stopping.

According to a new survey, 7% of parents say they gave their kid a MADE-UP NAME, like Jaspin, Wrenlow, or Maevery. And 65% of people say they'd CONSIDER giving their kid a made-up name.

Why? The parents think a unique name will help their kid. 72% say they think the name will help their kid stand out in the crowd . . . and 33% think it'll help their kid feel special.

Oh, and 2% think it'll help their kid get the best SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS.
