Property Tax Exemption Filing Deadline
The deadline to file for any Real Property Tax Exemptions in the Town of Poughkeepsie for the 2020 Assessment Roll is March 1, 2020. The exemptions must be dropped off or postmarked by March 1. This includes the following exemptions:
Enhanced STAR (Typically, first-time filers)
Senior Citizens Exemption (First-time filers and yearly renewals)
Disability Exemption (First-time filers and yearly renewals)
Agricultural Exemptions (First-time filers and yearly renewals)
Veteran Exemptions (Typically, first time filers and disability rating changes)
Solar Exemptions (Typically, first time filers)
Non Profit Exemptions (First-time filers and yearly renewals)
The Assessor’s Office hours are: Monday – Friday, 8AM – 4PM.
