Dutchess County Business Updates For June 1, 2020

We are asking each organization to have one individual fill out our newest survey. Your answers will not be shared individually, but the survey results will be shared with our local elected officials as they look to how they can support the business community with new legislation or regulations, and will give us an update on the status of Dutchess County employers. ·In today’s (Monday) press conference Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that if there is a rise in COVID-19 due to the George Floyd protests, he may shutdown the state again. This could include regions that have already entered into Phase 1 or 2 if those regions' metrics no longer meet the threshold to remain open.

·The state has updated their statewide guidelines to allow dentists to officially reopen today. The order allowing them to reopen can be found HERE. Guidelines on how to safely open can be found HERE.

·The U.S. Department of Labor has released guidance for employers regarding new paid leave requirements. That guidance can be found HERE.
