Legoland on target for 2021 opening

GOSHEN – Construction is full steam ahead on the Legoland theme park in Goshen after it was shut down for months because of the COVID-19 economic shutdown earlier this year.

The company had planned on opening the facility on July 4, but now it is looking at 2021, said spokesman Matt Besterman.

The guest experience will be different than what was expected earlier because of the pandemic, he said.

“We will have robust health and safety precautions. We will follow all guidance of federal, state and local health authorities and we will make sure we have information on that for our guests as we get close to opening,” he said.

Besterman could not provide a timeline for opening other than to say it will be in 2021.
