Lamborghini wrecked during police pursuit

WAPPINGERS FALLS – A pursuit of a vehicle by New York State Police ended with a wrecked Lamborghini and foot pursuit in the Village of Wappingers Falls Saturday morning.
Around 10:30 am, State Police attempted to stop the vehicle on Route 9 in the vicinity of the Poughkeepsie Galleria and South Hills Mall. The driver refused to comply and took off in the Lamborghini heading south on Route 9D. The car was crashed near West Academy Street and the driver fled on foot. The operator was apprehended on Lower Henry Street in the village.
Initial reports say that the subject, a 20-year-old male, was treated by EMS for injuries sustained in the wreck, prior to being processed by the State Police.
