Poughkeepsie, NY (November 17, 2020) – LCS Landscapes in conjunction with the City of Poughkeepsie and Scenic Hudson will be preparing the grounds for the development of a farm to be located right in the heart of the city.
Pershing Avenue Neighborhood Farm will serve as an educational farm for young people and a source of food supply for local families, while the remainder of the property will be a community garden with available areas for residents to do their own produce gardening.
LCS Landscapes has begun construction on the land and is expected to fully grade the site, bring water to the farm site, install the surrounding fence, and create access with paths and a grassy farm road.
As a dedicated partner to the revitalization of the City of Poughkeepsie, LCS Landscapes is also credited with the creation of the Upper Landing Park which offers Poughkeepsie residents and visitors a beautiful setting to enjoy alongside the Hudson River.
