Ulster County moves primary vaccination center to larger space

KINGSTON – Effective Thursday, March 18, Ulster County will relocate its primary vaccination site from the Kate Walton Field House at Kingston High School to the former Best Buy store space in the Hudson Valley Mall.
The move will allow for up to 2,500 doses to be administered and will provide parking for 300 vehicles.
The county will continue to use a vaccination location in Ellenville along with planning numerous pop-up sites to assist seniors and other underrepresented populations.
In addition, a state-run COVID-19 vaccination center will open soon at the Ulster County Fairgrounds in the Town of New Paltz.
The county is also working closely with other partners – hospitals, healthcare facilities, pharmacies, and providers – to add more vaccination capacity throughout the county.
“Our new vaccination center will allow for greater access and accessibility for the residents of Ulster County,” said County Executive Patrick Ryan.
For additional information, the county COVID-19 website and the Recovery Service Center at 845-443-8888 are available.
