Legislature gives green light for Newburgh hospitality project

Newburgh, New York
GOSHEN – The planned redevelopment of three Grand Street buildings in the City of Newburgh moved another step closer to reality as the Orange County Legislature has voted to sell the county-owned buildings to Sullivan County hospitality developer FSH LLC.
Legislature Chairman Stephen Brescia said the project will boost Newburgh’s continued rebirth.
“They have a good plan for the City of Newburgh. It is going to be great for tourism and will create quite a bit of sales tax each year,” he said Monday.
The company will pay $1.3 million for the three buildings that will be redeveloped into boutique hotel space as well as restaurants.
