BUFFALO – At Governor Hochul’s daily briefing on Wednesday, the State’s leader announced that masks will be required at all child care and daycare facilities effective Wednesday, September 22, for children ages 2 years old and up. Masks will also be required for all staff and visitors.
Hochul, stressing the need for vigilance as the number of Coronavirus cases continues to climb, is urging sports venues and other large-gathering facilities to require patrons to be vaccinated in order to enter the venue. Highmark Stadium, the home of the Buffalo Bills requires patrons 12-years-old and over to show proof of vaccination. Hochul wants others to follow.
“I’m asking every sports organization to follow this lead and institute a requirement that your fans be vaccinated before they can attend,” Hochul said. “That’s how we’ll deal with this fall vulnerability.”
