Did we really need a study, that likely spent time and money, to tell us this?

With a lot of people hitting the beach this weekend for Memorial Day you are likely to see plenty of folks wearing sunglasses to protect their eyes from the glares of the sun. But it turns out there is a side effect to wearing those shades.

A new study out of University of British Columbia has discovered that people who are wearing sunglasses are more likely stare at *ahem* provocative images. (NO, really??)

They do it because they think people aren’t looking. (Well, there’s a revelation)

When subjects were asked to look at pictures of supermodels with and without sunglasses, they tended to look longer when wearing sunglasses. (You don’t say?)

“People spontaneously looked more and for longer at the sexually provocative images when their eyes were camouflaged by sunglasses," the researchers said, noting it suggests people are “profoundly sensitive” to what others may think of their looking behavior. Well, yeah!
